Heroes' Square in Hungary was built to commemorate the occasion of Hungary's 1000th birthday in 1896.
St. Stephen's Basilica was named in honor of Stephen, the first King of Hungary who reigned from 975 to 1038 AD. His mummified fist is kept in the reliquary.

The square features statues depicting the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century. These leaders founded the Magyar nation over a thousand years ago.
The Basilica overlooks Budapest and is neoclassical in style. It's interior is laid out like a Greek cross.
The dome of St. Stephen's Cathedral is the same height as the dome of the Parliament and both are Budapest's tallest buildings.
St. Stephen's wrist is Hungary's most sacred relic.
We took an evening dinner cruise down the river Danube.
