Kimberly Crest - Photos by Daryl Hemmings Photography

In 2006 I did a photoshoot for Daryl Hemmings Photography on the historic grounds of Kimberly Crest in Redlands, California. A French chateau style home built in 1897, Kimberly Crest was originally built by Mrs. Cornelia A. Hill, a widow from New York State.

The terraced Italian gardens were visited by all sorts of prominent figures in the early 1900s, including Amelia Earhart.

I requested this particular shot next to the time dial which reads, "Time Takes All But Memories." The locket I am holding has photos of myself and my father, who had recently passed away.

The home was purchased by J. Alfred Kimberly and Helen Cheney Kimberly in 1905, and it was their windowed daughter who left the historic house to the city of Redlands.

I felt like a character out of an historical fiction novel set in the Victorian era. In fact, this Victorian inspired hairstyle took four hours.
